French DJ David Guetta has scooped the top spot in the UK singles chart for the first time.

Guetta made it with a little help from US singer Kelly Rowland in their collaboration When Love Takes Over rose from seventh in last week's chart to claim number one.

Rowland provides vocals on the track.

Guetta's latest album One Love is set for release on 24 August.

Leicester-based Kasabian kept their place at the top of the album charts for a second week with their third album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum.

George Harrison's greatest hits collection Let It Roll was the highest new album chart entry, in fourth place.
